While emotionally and physically trying to recover from her past,Charlotte also known as Charlie finds herself trying to understand things that the human brain wasn't built to comprehend. 
In Charlie's mind the biggest threat is human connection. She refuses to let anyone get close enough to know her but eventually she won't have a choice. With a threat on her life, Charlie must let old wounds bleeds and learn to trust someone who she's not sure is capable of redemption.

 "See something you like?"  Arching his eyebrow, his lips turned upward into a   mischievous smirk. Snapping me out of my stupor,  I responded 

"What? No! Definitely not!"
A soft chuckle left him

"Definitely not ? Damn I didn't think I looked that bad." He placed a hand over his heart feigning hurt.

" I..um.. I didn't..I didn't mean it that way, sorry." my voice wavered slightly.

"Relax, I'm just fucking with you"
