23 years ago Katniss Everdeen freed the nation of Panem from the grip of President Coriolanus Snow. But soon after, his granddaughter, Erika Snow, rose up and once again threw the country into a dictatorship. Since then, no one has seen or heard from any member that was part of the old rebellion.
But this is not their story. This is the story of a teenage boy named Axel Hemway and his experience when him and his best friend, Peyton Hemway, are chosen to compete in the 98th annual Hunger Games. What happens when you are faced with the possibility of having to kill one of the most important people in your life or be killed yourself?
