Ark was just a normal kid, well abnormal to his fellow schoolmates. His introverted personality drove him to isolation because his school, Lincoln High, was built on extroverts. People thought he was an irregular and it caused him to have a very bleak outlook on life. This very monotonous lifestyle was then completely changed after a fateful evening where he was sent tumbling off a bridge -- forever changing his life, or afterlife, in the process.

Please educate yourself and if I do ever decide to rewrite this cursed book I will be sure to acknowledge some more of the things in this story that are a bit too much. Zeke's life was that of a simple nerd who liked being in the background unnoticed and who just happens to be gay. It really doesn't help when you have two tormentors picking on you every single day with no do anything to stop it. Since it was his senior year all he had to do was hang on for the next ten months. Everything will be alright, right? Sadly it won't because life decided to throw a curve ball at Zeke's head by adding more pain other than what his bullies do to him. He gains a friend, looses said friend, only living relative dies and added to that his first love ends before it even really begins.

Reuben was overweight in middle school, but went to a fat camp and boarding school for two years. Reuben was bullied and teased most of his life, because of his weight. He finally made the decision go to a fat camp. When he lost all his weight, he is like a new different person, people treat him differently and he looks differently too. He is little more sociable now since he is more confident. So when he goes to high school he is really scared, because he finds out that Carson, the main guy who used to torment him is Mr. Popular and his in mostly all his classes. Reuben tries to avoid him as much as possible, but it seems Mr.Popular takes a liking to him. So basically, Mr.Popular doesn't think about the kid he used to torment, but Reuben will always remember the guy who made him want kill himself at some point in his life.
