Ark was just a normal kid, well abnormal to his fellow schoolmates. His introverted personality drove him to isolation because his school, Lincoln High, was built on extroverts. People thought he was an irregular and it caused him to have a very bleak outlook on life. This very monotonous lifestyle was then completely changed after a fateful evening where he was sent tumbling off a bridge -- forever changing his life, or afterlife, in the process.

𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 long enough to be properly integrated into society, but not long enough for everyone to have accepted them. Outside of the United States, a hub for mutant immigrants fleeing the oppressive laws of their own countries, fear of mutant syndrome bleeds through the cracks in mysterious deaths, obnoxious court rulings, and social isolation. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows in America, either ⸻ some states are more progressive than others, and it's a constant battle over who has what rights and where. But there is one class of mutants that nearly everyone can agree on avoiding: Class F. The Freaks. For awkwardly tall and perpetually oblivious homeschooler Noah Kirby, all that exists is his house and the little graveyard on his street in North Carolina. When the opportunity comes along to enroll as a first-year at F Class Academy, an up-and-coming school for the most dangerous mutants of the generation, it means opening his eyes to an entirely new world, one where mutant life isn't as easy as he thought it was. Noah has three goals to ensure his start at FCA goes smoothly: 1. Befriend his moody Ability Management partner Amaris, so that they don't both risk failing the class, 2. Get to the bottom of why he keeps waking up surrounded by dissected corpses, and 3. Make it through the year without getting killed by one of his classmates' disastrous accidents. It may sound impossible, but with a dash of optimism and the help of a lot of new friends, he's confident he can make it work. FCA is nothing like he's ever seen before, but it can't be so scary. At the end of the day, mutant highschoolers are just like any other highschoolers... right? [ This story is unabashedly inspired by franchises I liked when I was a kid. I'm mostly writing it just for fun and for my friends to read, but if you also liked stuff like the X-Men, Percy Jackson, and Ever After High, you might have a fun time too! ]

"Are you the one I've been waiting for? You might be, I hope so. It's been so many cycles since I was here. Do I even still remember hope? I wasn't sure you'd ever turn up. The odds just kept getting longer; I guess I've been losing faith. While they've been gaining power. You have to reach me. Everything depends on your survival; Master this world, make allies of its many creatures. Grow your strength and skill. Explore this place like I did long ago. Put the pieces together and find me, Survivor. You may be the only one who can." Based of the game Ark Survival Ascended made by Studio WildCard. All of the characters are mine and my friends.
