"Do not test me on my birthday, Jacob," I said, keeping my eyebrow raised as if to dare him to continue. He huffed, muttering something about birthday's being a curse, and I leant down to help the other guy up, finally catching a glimpse.

Holy shit balls.

His black hair was messy and nearly hit his shoulders, curling in a way that was natural. His hazel eyes pierced my blue ones as they locked for a split second, and I thought my heart would give way at how deeply he gazed at me, not blinking once. He looked to be at least 6'1, and he towered over me. He lifted his bruised hand to take mine, and I felt four of his fingers covered with silver rings, each different and unique.
