Benjamin Lockhart woke up early one morning before the sun was up, or so he thought. The sun rarely ever came up anymore. He got dressed, brushed his teeth and went down stairs for breakfast. With a bowl of cereal, a spoon in hand and a remote in the other, he switched on the TV. Five minutes in, static pops up and then a news reporter, "Emergency broadcasting: Human-monsters attacking people on the streets. Stay indoors. Grab weapons. Don't get bit." As quick as it came on, it left and the old program had returned.
