Season 2 starts with Kazuto and Asuna and their perfect family and friends, but they soon realize their fight is not over yet. Old and new enemies come together to ruin their hapiness and split them up, with each of them in a different world with no allies and only enemies, how will they find their way back to each other? Will they find their happy ending or will the future be dark?
