Castiela lives in a society where soul mates are tied to each other by an unbreakable bond. They’re connected, and when one feels pain, the other knows it. The closer their soul mate is, the more intense the pain gets. And lately, her soul mate has been in a lot of pain.
And he’s getting closer.
Skylar is running from his old life. He's trying to reach somewhere safe, somewhere to settle down, but he didn't plan to run into his soul-mate. But he hits her with his motorbike, tells her that he doesn't believe in love, and then disappears, seemingly forever.
For some reason, he comes back into Castiela's life, mainly to sleep in her house, date the girls in her school, and eat her food, but they both agree not to fall for each other, even though they're supposed to. They promise each other to defy society's expectations.
But for the bad boy and the girl he calls princess, some promises have to be broken..
