NOTE: This story takes place in an AU where Dean and Sam were never hunters.
Their mom died during Sam's birth, causing their Dad John Winchester to become an alcoholic and an abusive father, and John never stopped blaming Sammy for her death.
Dean has always protected his little brother Sammy from John until one day when Dean ended up being badly hurt, causing him and his brother to be taken away from their dad. Dean's been in a Psychiatric hospital ever since that accident.
It's been 7 years in the hospital. The doctor thinks it's high time for Dean to leave, he's been healthy for at least 5 years now, but Dean doesn't feel like leaving anytime soon. Why would he? He's got a best friend who's probably never going to leave the place and the nurses have always been so nice to him, And I mean free food!?
