Genetic modification has changed the fabric of society. Birthing rights, job opportunities, insurance policies, and school admissions all depend on the value of your DNA. The rich elite pay for their children to be brilliant and beautiful and brave. They live in wealthy Districts and watch as the rest of the population are forced to inhabit poverty-stricken Slums. But, everything is not as it seems; some aspects of the genome are better left untouched.

For years, behavioral disorders have been correlated to specific genomic features. Unique methylation patterns indicating sociopathy, and psychopathy. Transcriptome commonalities between pyromaniacs, and violent criminals. To house these genetic deviants and keep their cities safe, the Districts rely on rehabilitation centres. During her yearly DNA test, Willa Reyez's is deemed sociopathic. After years of isolation she is forced to learn her own truth. After all, correlation does not imply causation.

Extraordinary Mistakes

40 parts Complete Mature

Two opposite sides come face to face, forcing each other to reconsider their version of the truth. *** A minority of the world's population carries a genetic modification. They are called deviants and some develop an ability by the age of seven. In the United States of America, deviants and humans fought each other in the Great War, which ended when the deviants lost. Fifteen years later, everyone lives finally in peace. But when an assassination takes place, it sets in motion several events that put Emily Roberts, the poster child of deviant integration, face to face with Rachel Moore, the leader of the terrorist group for the liberation of deviants. What is the truth and is it worth finding it out? Warning: depiction of trauma / violence / abuse.
