When Happy opened her eyes, she was surprised to see Daemon looking at her.

"Hi," she greeted him, not minding if he would ignore her.

In a blink of an eye, Happy found herself enveloped in Daemon's arms. Being in his embrace made her feel incredibly safe. She hugged him back, causing him to freeze in response.

"Who hurt you" Happy whispered in pain

The two remained still, locked in an embrace, as if they had known each other for years.

Happy released herself from the embrace and squinted at Daemon.

"You're not Daemon," she pointed out. "Who are you?"

"I am Daemon" he smirked then grabbed her waist

"Why are you not pushing me?" Daemon asked, his arms still enveloped around her waist

"What?" Happy asked innocently

"You've never been touched by a man before" realization hit him

Daemon apologized and removed his hands from her

"It's fine" Happy smiled

"It's not, I didn't ask for consent"

"Join me" Daemon asked

He's in the jacuzzi so she decided to stand up and give him a glass of champagne, not wanting to join him

"Are you really not gonna join me?" he raised his brows and decided to look at her

"Oh come on Steel" Did he just call her by her last name?

Happy pouted and decided to remove her cardigan

"This is for pangtulog" (This is for sleeping)

"You should've brought that bottle here"

"I'll go get it" Happy decided to stand up and get the bottle of champagne

Daemon couldn't help but gaze at her wet body, draped in silk, for the first time.

"Stop staring," Happy said but there's no hint of irritation in her voice

"You're not upset?" Daemon asked

"Why?" she asked softly after she put the bottle on the coping 

"Are you looking at me with lust? If so that's your problem"

"I am not" Daemon chuckled

"In your presence, I discover a sense of tranquility," he confessed
