They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? SEQUEL TO SURVIVING REALITY: DIVERGENT Last time we left Tris, Four, Christina, and our other Divergent friends, it was the Fourth of July the summer before they started their senior year. Now the gang is back, and things have just gone from bad to worse. For starters, Tris and Four just recently broke up. Marlene's having some emotional issues (most of them thanks to Uriah, damn that boy), Uriah and Zeke's family is having some financial issues, and Shauna and Lynn are stuck with trying to figure out what's going on with their friend, Lauren. It's hard to enjoy their last year of high school with so much trouble brewing. And to top it all off, the people that bugged the gang two years ago are back- and they have a foolproof plan for revenge.
