At some point in history most of the human race believe in a god. Let it be multiple gods or one single god, at the end the people of earth decided to pray to a god that can explain life and death to them. Slowly Man decided that they could adventure and understand the world on their own. So ancient powers and figures started to be forgotten and they as well began to step down and let Man control their fate. As the human race did right and wrong there was one thing that never satisfied the ancient powers. Death. The ancient powers decided that the Human race could not handle this responsibility so they summoned Death himself to go to earth and do the job for them.

It was a normal nation meeting. They held one annually at least 3 times a year. However, this meeting ended up turning the world on their heads. Their parents, the ancients, who have long since passed on cannot stand to watch their children suffer. With this a plan is formed to help, even if only just a little. A messenger from the ancients arrive with a book and wishes of happiness for the nations. They're stuck with no way out, in a space where time is separated from reality.
