Alexander receives a letter from Washington for the war at York town. He goes and fights through hell to return home to his Eliza and their little babe.
In this short story, there are two battles being conquered. The battle to survive a war and return home and the biggest battle Eliza has to face on her own-Child birth.
Are both mentally strong enough to handle the stress they will endure?
