Lily and Malachi are a brother and sister who escaped a labour camp in
Auschwitz-Birkenau, Poland. They escaped and want to be with their parents again. They escaped at night and went to other people to help them also to protect them from going to death camps. One family helped hide them and took care of them til they can escape and go to America. Lily rides horses and there's an upcoming race where if you're placed 1,2,3 you get to go to horse races in America. What Lily wanted was a dream and she found one,one that can have her and her brother Malachi go to a place without cruelty, without fear, without being petrified of the things that happened during the war. That'll happen if Lily wins the race and her and her brother and sister escape on a boat to America their new home.
