The aftermath of Covid-19 caused a shift in humanity. A sudden trigger caused a divide so wide, where everyone had no choice but to compromise for a temporary solution to maintain stability. 2 men fell for a girl, or so one thought, but alas she is a child of mother earth with powers and strength which makes her a force to be reckoned with. Set in a fictional city of Anubia, with lush forests and a city intertwined to form a prosperous country, Astrid meets friends, makes acquaintances, inadvertently snagging a bachelor in the name of Ace Wagner. A modern twist of a tale involving werewolves, humans, and vampires. It's not your cliche story, has heartbreak, abuse, bullying, mature content, and lots of love of course. A snippet from a chapter as below: Astrid drank the warm lemon honey water and stared at his chest again. She could not help herself but ask, ''The words on your chest. What does it mean?'' ''Show me?'' Ace smirked feigning ignorance, raising a cocky eyebrow. Astrid knew what he was doing, and she played along. Her fingers trailed to the Japanese words and stopped there. ''Zephyr belongs to me''. He muttered. ''And this?'', Astrid spoke softly, her fingers moving in the opposite direction. ''Divine, precious lady. Time for action now''. He grabbed her fingers and started kissing each, starting from the base to their tips, maintaining his eye contact with her. It was so sensual and stimulating, his soft lips kissing as if her fingers were her lips. Astrid felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Her left hand unconsciously, touch his face and he leaned on her hands, she mustered enough courage to prevent her mind from going into an overdrive of sentiments, and uttered ''I need to pee''. Ace chuckled and smooched her cheek.

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi
