You don't usually see a girl on a university basketball team. If you do, she usually isn't dressed head to toe in pink. She usually doesn't wear dresses when off court. She is usually the toughest girl most of the players on the team has ever met. She also usually doesn't cause rules on the game court to be created in her name. But most of all, she definitely usually isn't Muslim. If there's someone you would call an inside outsider on a university basketball team, it would be the guy who hadn't got laid yet. Or the guy whose mum still scolded him for being out after 9:30pm. But they're usually the same nationality and have practically the same mindset. However, on the basketball team of this university, their inside outsider is different. He's Indian. He doesn't drink. He's good looking but pays the hottest cheerleaders no attention. He doesn't let them see him shirtless. He's quiet for a boy his age. No one would accept such a girl who goes against the stereotype rules. But a girl has to be good to play with a bunch of boys on a court. How does this all fit? Three loose threads don't create a straight proper stitch. However, I am a tailor who with practice has perfected my craft. I will stitch together the broken night sky and explain the brightness behind its stars. I will explain the beauty of the light of Venus that holds mysteries we must decipher and understand. IMPORTANT: This story doesn't represent Islam. Some characters are Muslim and they act how some Muslims act. Do not judge Islam based on this book. There will be information and maybe verses on the Qur'an, but non-Muslims are as welcome as Muslims. I believe we should all have an open mind.
