In every society, there is always a hierarchy; an Alpha and Omega.

In the city of Asarlemn, supernatural creatures flood and rule the city- Angels at the very top of the food chain- and Humans are the omegas. Living in different sections and quarantined by a large wall, there has been peace for many years.

But now with Shadow spirits running around, aimlessly and randomly killing people; returning to their old lifestyles. Things are about to change.

By law in Asarlemn, connections to a Shadow spirit by any means is immediate death. Too bad a certain Shadow spirit has its eye on someone.

Son of the high king Richard Kai, Nathaniel Kai is not your typical prince. He doesn't have lavish ornamental parties every now and then. In fact, unlike his brothers, Nathaniel tends to keep his life as quiet and secluded as much as possible.

After a Shadow spirit entered her bedroom, Alora's life can never be the same. Now she has to lie to everyone she loves and knows that she has no association with a Shadow spirit and watch them die.

The only way to get rid of the Shadow spirit is to use its arch-rival: Angels. And she doesn't care if this angel has his own secrets and demons.
