After the Great War with the Likkos, the Upper and Lower Kingdom were cut-off from one another, the exiled land of the west severing their connection. The Upper and Lower Kingdom were divided, and the special power that had once belonged to all the people of the land now only resided within the Upper Kingdom. The Lower Kingdom was thrown into poverty and disconnected from the Upper Kingdom except for two months of the year when the people of the Lower Kingdom travel from their home to the Upper Kingdom, seeking asylum from the power-hungry Likkos.

Forsythia had always been bewitched by the magic whimsical lands of the Upper Kingdom and when a new King comes to the throne, she soon discovers that total control of both Kingdoms isn't the only thing he wants.
