Xander, a dominant wolf who has just become the new alpha of the River Pack. Most, though to his dissatisfaction, refer to it as the Omega Pack. His pack contains the most omegas of all packs totaling 104, almost a quarter of the pack. The reason being, the pack, since it was first created, almost 300 years ago, accepted all omegas running from their former packs no matter what the reason, that is if they could make it to their pack lands. This gave him great pride though, knowing that his pack has always protected the weak instead of using and harming them. Even so, this in turn started wars with other packs in the beginning, making their members that weren't omegas strong and experienced. To this day the top fighters of his pack can take on alphas and win, with him being the strongest in the pack, with the only exception being his father.
Theo, an omega, an enigma, a loner. He's the strongest wolf alive, but that must be impossible, he's an omega after all. Some take him as a myth to have a good laugh over or to tell other omegas just to put them down even more. Others believe the story to be real only with missing pieces, from the most believable being his father is an alpha and is the strongest but some stupid wolves thought it was his omega kid, to the most outlandish where he's got demon or other mythical blood running through his veins, making him an evil being.
The new alpha taking his place seems like the perfect time for other packs to attack, and so the Snowcap Pack, the Jungle Pack, and the Maple Pack decide to attack. The three packs are to the North, West, and East respectively, leaving only the south open. Not much use though, considering the south is the ocean. All while this is happening, Theo is wandering in between the River Pack and the Jungle Pack for reasons that not even he understands.
He's the Alpha... but she's in charge.
Rhys and Calla are the eldest children of rival city leaders. They have no reason to interact, until fate forces them together.
When a member of Rhys's camp is filmed attacking an innocent person on land claimed by Calla's family, Calla is brought in to manage the PR disaster. Used to being the top dog, Rhys resents taking orders from an enemy, attractive though she may be.
Rhys isn't just an obnoxious, billionaire playboy to Calla; he's one of her prime suspects. Not only is she convinced he's guilty of the attack, she also believes he kidnapped her best friend. They may hate each other, but as they're forced to work together and trust each other, their chemistry becomes undeniable.
With heinous crimes continuing-all pointing towards Rhys and his family, it's not long until tensions in the city yield to violence. The only way they'll make it through safely is with each other's help. But if their families find out about their forbidden relationship, their jobs and social standing-and even Calla's life-will be at stake. Rhys must make the choice to defy his family... or risk Calla becoming their next victim.
