Growing up we are told stories. Stories about beauty, love and bravery. Stories of prince's and princess's from far away kingdoms. Stories where the handsome prince Rescues the beautiful princess from the vicious dragon. Stories of make believe with magic and happy ever afters.
Then one day, we grow up. The magic that was once there lifts and the imagination disappears. We come to realize that life is a lot more painful, gloomy and a little less perfect then the stories we were told.
And there are no happy ever afters.

Once upon a time a snow king fell for an apathetic servant, then a prince-turned-bear found true love in a fellow prince who almost shot him in the face. Almost. Then, of course, one can't forget a monster who found himself wanting to be more human. Bit by bit. For love. Protagonists quirky and not, sarcastic and witty and a bit too self-aware. Every fairy tale has their typical happy ending but it looks as though these ones had to take detours and backtrack on the way to theirs... oh well. As long as it ends well, who cares if it's a little bit odd. Each story is its own stand-alone tale of romance, though there may be bonus shorts for some.Complete
