It has been 300 years since magic and "Rifts" started to appear in Zeno. The land was suddenly filled with monsters that came out the rifts, humans who do not know how to fight was devoured easily.
Luckily, the ones that can muster the magic are called Hunters, and they are the only ones that can kill the monsters and close the rifts.
Oh and me? I am Lucas, the weakest of the Hunters. Life being a Hunter is not easy. It ain't just some game that you can gain experience and level up your skills. Then, death approached me while we on a Rift Raid, it was not the death anyone would expect. Words suddenly appeared in the air and it said:
