The war is done. The resistance was disbanded. Everyone can now focus on rebuilding.

But as they always say, history repeats itself.

A single scientist has started a project during the war, and soon created a large laboratory of others who had decided to follow their footsteps.

The project was soon called, "The Infinite Stars," named after one of the most dangerous enemies the Freedom Fighters has ever faced.

But the scientists alone couldn't depend on only themselves. They needed hosts to test their experiments on recreating the ruby that had started the war.

Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of Mobius/Earth, had defeated Emerl the ultimate Gizoid that the blue blur raised as his own. After freeing Emerl from his destructive programming, Sonic hoped he didn't do too much damage so he can bring him home. Unfortunately, the damage became severe for the childlike robot. As Emerl says his final goodbye to Sonic and his friends that treated him with kindness and compassion, a light flashes, enveloping the Gizoid. And as the light dissipates, Emerl was no longer there. He was truly gone.............or so the blue hedgehog thought. Unbeknownst to Sonic and his friends, Emerl was teleported to a different world, but not without a heavy cost. With his link with Sonic separated, he loses almost all of his memories of them, their skills and abilities were erased. All except his name. As Emerl sits on the tree, powered down and lost, he would one day be discovered by a group of students, while they were doing their mission. And the leader of the team would form a 'Link' that would change the orange and yellow robot, more or less.

The world was split apart 50 years ago. In panic, some people decided to create a city on one of these peices of the planet. To control their people and keep them from finding out a way to restore the world as it was. To avoid anyone finding out they placed walls around the city and promised to protect anyone who goes in. Everything there is perfect. Freedom, food, clothing, everything you need is provided by the government of this city. But once you make it out things are way different. A war is happening and the citizens are unaware, too cozy with their "perfect" lives to notice how the government they love so dearly has been experimenting and creating "weapons" right under their noses. The Werebeast, the governments weapon to winning the war, has escaped from their control with their proud inventor. ___ Or- Sonic and Tails are on the run from the government outside the city. Someone is sent after the famous Werebeast. The most famous name outside the city has enemy's coming his way every second.

A tragedy in an alternate timeline has lead Sonic and Shadow to travel back in time at the expense of having to never met. Far from how the usual reality could've portrayed it, a reality where Dr. Eggman has stopped his evil schemes and the need for heroes is no longer necessary came into fruition. Using continuous bombing runs from Eggmans newest robots, each programmed by Infinites crimson cubes. Eggman has sent Infinite on a number of missions to hunt down the resistance, however in this world the resistance is scattered. Scattered throughout the land and deep underground. These underground bunkers are called 'War Cabinets'. The resistance is much larger in this universe although in secrecy, they destroy patrols of robots left right and centre. However a new enemy rises and is far beyond the power of Infinite and shadow combined. How will they defeat him? You'll have to read to find out ^^. In this story. It will cover harsh topics like PTSD and paranoia, along with mentions of suicide. Warning: Gore Sad moments Scenes that could feel realistic Have fun reading. :3
