"Just hide! Go!" She screamed as she held the door back from the beating outside. "Mom... I can't just-" "GO!" Just as she spoke, a gunshot rang through the house, it's almost like I watched in slow motion as her body hit the floor with a striking thud. Sunlight shone through the hole in the door and down onto her bloody head. My stomach turned as I held back tears running upstairs. **A supposed man-made virus hits the world, leaving it in absolute chaos. The government takes it upon themselves to take precautions that somehow always fail. Theories say it's for population control, or to crack down on criminals, but it seems if anyone gets close to answers, they mysteriously disappear. People move on quicker and quicker after each "disappearance", and slowly begin to forget it's not normal. I've had this idea for YEARS and I never actually sat down to write it until now with the outbreak of Corona. This is not meant to offend or hurt anyone, everything in this book is purely fiction.

She bared the pain shooting through her limbs. Thick darkness surrounded her under the moonless sky and she found herself tumbling down a hill. She felt a snap and hit her head as she rolled to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Everywhere hurt. She tried moving but couldn't bare it. She cried more and groaned as her life flashed before her eyes. Then, everywhere was suddenly quiet. She breathed hard in fear. Just when she started getting a little hope, something sharply dug its fingers into her hand and a loud deafening shriek was heard, followed by an ear piercing scream...
