Some people are blessed since birth, puberty doesn't even hit them - no ugly scars from acne, no unsightly pock marks, pretty normal growth and no bad experiences. But some, like me, have gone through the worst of it - you name it, I've had it.

I think the main thing to take away from being an ugly duckling growing up is how you turn that into a challenge to make yourself better. I've been ugly most of my teen life. I've been bullied by the mean girls and ignored by the popular guys and I took it all in stride.

Now I'm back, better than ever.
