The Boy Across the Street

Midoriya Izuku lives in a quiet neighborhood, where pretty much nothing happens. Sometime into his sophomore of UA high school, he sees a boy, about his age, walking around the neighborhood.
Without shoes.
In the middle of winter.
Midoriya, every day for that month, asks whether that boy would want shoes.
Every day, the boy declines.
Until one day, he doesn't.
