As creatures called Mortem appear on earth and put humanity near extinction, an organization known as Donatus create combat machines in hopes to push back the creatures, even with the risk of their own kind.

Part of a classified and dangerous experiment within the organization, Valor finds himself escaping into the outside world and rebelling against Donatus, helping the last of humankind to survive.

Although that doesn't stop the organization from hunting him down.
