we were in the bathtub. him, hugging me from the back; my head, resting on his shoulder. we were completely silent. the sunshine was seeping through the blinds, hitting my fire-colored hair making the different shades of crimson dance with my every breath. the warmth of the water taking away all of the ugly of the world off of our bodies. calm. he kissed my temple, i sighed with a soft grin on my face. i could feel his heartbeat on my back, matching with mine. i was never the one who felt incomplete alone, by myself, but at this exact moment, i was complete. serene. he was gently caressing my arm up and down.
