Darkkit has always been kind to his younger sister and wants to lead the clan with her as his Medicine Cat, but when a tragedy becomes of Mistkit he becomes mad and blames his father. As a apprentice he gets angered at a gathering and attacks a Riverclan cat almost killing him, realizing what he has done he runs away to find a answer to his madness. There he finds what he needs to finally have his revenge on his father for leaving Mistkit behind and become leader of his former clan. But will this answer lead to his reign, or his downfall...

Book 1 in the DSA series, next book will be Shadowstrike's Sacrifice, then Nightbreeze's Loyalty

Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment.
