'In The Safe Place' is the sequel and continuation to short story 'The Dead are here'. Previously Jake and his group of friends managed to escape their zombie infested college but not all of his friends made it out alive. They make it to the Safe Place, a place very different to the name and is in fact a testing ground for scientists to find a cure and vaccine for the recent outbreak causing those who got the virus or infected by a bite into Zombies.
It is a year later and testing has already begun in the Safe Place. Jake is on a mission to find his boyfriend, who he last saw was left for dead and break out with all his friends and some new ones he meets along the way. Each week someone is chosen to be tested so he must act fast before one of his friends are the unlucky chosen ones.
Can Jake and his friends break free from the Safe Place and find out what is happening on the outside world...or will he and his friends all be taken down by the leader of the camp Colonel Smith...
