Beneath the Stars

Aoibheann Stirling had been through enough trauma to last a few lifetimes, she is pretty closed off to most people but finds herself in a vortex of feelings after she stumbles upon an absurdly attractive blonde detective in the woods one night. Both are stubborn, witty and bad at relationships but they both feel that undeniable pull towards each other. Can they figure out their own hearts before the past comes back to haunt them?

"So you imagined how this night would end huh?" She said smiling, losing all traces of the vulnerability she had shown moments ago.

"I mean, when I go to dinner with a beautiful woman I imagine all sorts of things." On the outside I seemed in control but on the inside I was burning up and freaking out, I had no control of what I was saying.

"Did you imagine us getting a room together then or just a cheek peck at the door?" She brazenly held my eye contact.

"Well one could only hope the former but undoubtedly on the latter to actually happen. You can't tell me you haven't thought that we'd end up spending some more time together?" I raised my eyebrows and smirked as a pink hue tinged her cheeks.

"To be honest I didn't expect you to get shot at and then hop into bed with you after a single dinner. And yet here we are standing outside this fairly dodgy motel." She breathed a laugh and shook her head, a smile still gracing her face.
