She’s had some training and she is a pretty serious surfer. Even after her accident she kept surfing. Lilo was closer to her brother than anyone else. Her parents split and now she lives with her dad and brother. Every year since Lilo can remember her dad had taken her to Bondi to surf. He was a good teacher. In her teens she went on her own and that’s when her accident happened.

Her physical health is bordering dangerous, and she simply has not will left. The monsters in her own head seemed to have been gaining ground and she doesn't seem to have the strength to fight back. Jethro is little better. Though maintaining a steely façade, his friends and coworkers have noticed the depressing shift in his behavior and attitude. Harrison and the other lifeguards take it upon themselves to get both Jethro and Hadlee back to their usual smiling selves, and they intend to help begin to mend the tear in the young couple's relationship in the process. Will they be able to succeed? And if they do, will there still be monsters that Jethro and Hadlee will have to face? Or will it all prove to be too much to handle?
