Despite the fact the historic town of Crestview is known for its lavish yacht club and preparatory academy, it's main focal point is that it is quite literally a "ghost town", with its strong supernatural presence.

Ava Karrington, like the other sheltered teenagers of Crestview, has been living under the impression that nothing can go wrong in a town so isolated from the chaos of the modern day world. However, all it takes is a fatal stab to her liver to change everything.

Ava wakes up right after she dies with unleashed powers, the ability to see and communicate with the ghosts she had been living beside all along. Additionally, since she is suspended between life and death, she can maneuver between the physical and spirit realms.

Her mentor, a surprisingly benevolent Grim Reaper, pleads for her assistance in stopping the destruction of the spirit realm as it collides with Earth. This partnership must travel and collect clues to find the only sorcerer powerful enough to save the world, who had gone missing years prior.

Do Ava and Grim have what it takes to prevent the world from becoming victim to more evil than it has ever seen? Or will the world fall apart in flames?
