This book takes place in the 'H2O: Just Add Water' and 'Mako Mermaids' universe, but it doesn't have any of those characters or anything
Kai is just moving to the Gold Coast, and she isn't super excited. However, she makes a great friend, Lucas, as soon as she gets to school, and together they go to explore Mako island because why not? If you've watched the series you can guess what happens next, they find the moon pool and Kai becomes a mermaid. Just to be clear, though, Lucas is not a merman. I don't have the time or patience to deal with some mermaid/merman feud XD
If you have any and I mean ANY ideas for what to happen next please let me know because I always do this thing where I create a cool beginning of a story and I have no idea what to do next. I also tend to forget to add more characters so let me know your ideas please! You can use the comments button in the chapters if you want to.

Moon Stones Gone Missing
Erik is back, and he has a plan: to take all the moon ring stones and forge them into one huge stone to reopen the merman chamber on Mako Island. Sirena, Mimmi and Ondina are put on the case by the mermaid council, and with the help of Zach, Evie, Nixie and Lyla, must stop Erik. But when they have the stones from their rings stolen, they realise they need help from Mermaids who don't have moon rings... Humans that have transformed into mermaids. They manage to find some up the coast from where they live: four girls called Cleo, Emma, Rikki and Bella. Together they work to stop Erik, but they don't know that Erik has been working with Charlotte, Cleo's arch enemy who knows their mermaid secret, and Dr Linda Denman, a scientist who knows all about their mermaid secret too... Two friends who were training to be professional merfolk become real merfolk one of them autistic. They are on the big adventure of their lives to save the world. It could definitely be said that Cleo, Rikki, Emma and Bella have overcome the storm. Their friendship is now stronger and they've done so many things together. But just as summertime is in full swing, an unexpected cloud pops up. Charlotte returns to the coast. After having left out of shame from her defeat, Cleo thought she would be free from Charlotte for good. Charlotte promises that she has turned over a new leaf and is simply visiting the town before going off to college in the fall. But of course, Charlotte actually wants revenge, at any cost. "Okay now I think we should go to Mako Island." Alex said. Then another bump happened and it sent us flying into the water. We all screamed. I opened my eyes and looked around in the water. I immediately saw a huge shark. I screamed. I surfaced and looked around at the girls. "Guys there's a shark!!" I cried. "I knew it!!" Eliza said. "Look there it is!!" Alex cried. I turned around to see the shark's fin. It turned and swam towards us. We all let out a blood curdling scream.Complete
