Melody Sinclair owns a small bakeshop in a tiny town. She has everything she wanted in life. She has a stable job, a nice life and a homey apartment. Despite all this, she felt as though something was still missing in her life. It was of course, love. However, love wasn't something that she could gain so easily. After all she was stuck in a spiral of endless insecurities, always thinking who could love a girl like herself?
Cole Baker was still stuck in the mindset of the high school social hierarchy. After placing his entire focus on girls, parties and anything except education, and not to mention cheating his way through college and high school, he was now jobless and abandoned by his own parents.
Melody has been working in her small bakeshop, crushing on her most loyal customer for practically her entire adulthood. Meanwhile, Cole just got fired from his job. On one faithful night, Melody met Cole once again. Cole Baker, as in the man who made her life hell in high school. On the next faithful morning, he had a proposition for her.
