Luna Higarashi was Kagome's twin sister, born with half of Kikyo's soul in her and therefore resembling the dead priestess just as her sister did. The difference between the two was that Luna took after their ancestor more than Kagome. She took a liking to archery and the studies of Fudeal Japan. She even took lessons on cleansings and rituals from their Grandfather.
The day the two sisters were drug into the well was the day at least one of their lives would change forever.
