Just turning twenty-eight, Danielle Matherson started the new year off with the people she loves most: her family. But returning to work after the long holiday break was a little tough for Dani. When her new boss calls her to his office to get her to mentor a new and brilliant junior manager, she knew it was going to be almost impossible.

Wade Anderson was not just her new boss, but also her former lover. And he would do anything to get Dani back in life, even use his new position. Piling work on her in hopes of her coming to him for help was a risk he was willing to take, but not a wise one. But when he gets invited to the Matherson house for dinner, he doesn't waste the opportunity to show Dani just how well they fit.

Giving in to temptation, Dani finally agrees to a date, and she finds herself dealing with emotions she thought she buried. And given a second chance, Wade had decided to make things right this time and show Dani how much she truly means to him.
