Safety is Relative, my Dad once told me. It depends on how you look at it. For example, many more people have a fear of flying than a fear of driving. Why? Cars are familiar, and we see them every day. Most people don't crash their cars. Planes, however, are different. The only time they are in the news are if they've crashed or exploded. They don't seem safe. But safety is relative, depending on how you look at it. Millions more people are killed every year from car crashes than plane crashes. So whilst being in a car may seem safer...in reality, planes are so much more. I didn't understand this concept at first. It was only after, that I understood. Because moving to the safest place in the world doesn't necessarily mean that it is. A village in the middle of nowhere, with the highest ratio of slayers to humans in the country. No vampire would dare set foot in a five-mile radius of the place. So you're safe, right? Wrong. What if some of the deadliest killers in the whole of history decided to live there too? No-one looks for a vampire in a vampire-free village. Doesn't seem so safe now, does it?

Everyone has one thing or more things, that make them special. Perfect examples, able to burp the ABC's, singing backwards or even making things float with your mind. Yeah you heard me, I can make things float with my mind, and later you'll be finding what else I can do. For the longest time, it was always me, Aunt Grace and my best friend in all the world Lucas. My parents both died when I was little and I don't remember them; so I've been living with my Aunt ever since. We have family, but they aren't exactly in our zip code and they don't exactly keep in touch. We don't either, so we are really no better then them. On the night of my 16th birthday (anyone else feel like big events happen on someone 16th birthday? No, just me?) three strangers came knocking during my birthday party and that's when the truth of who I am, who my Aunt is and who my parents were--are. Leaving my normal life behind, I step into a world that has, Werewolves, Vampires, Giants, Fairies, Witches, Warlocks and Hybrids of mixed families, waiting for me. The first day at my knew school, lets just say I blew the roof off the castle. Long story short, really fast way to make people hate you even more then they already do real fast. Oh and three more thing before you start reading my story. Never open the door to three strangers in the rain, it very well might change your life for better or worse. There is also Hunters, that want to kill all of us, just because we are different. And the third thing, be careful of who you fall in love with, because they very well might start a war because they can't handle their blood lust. Have fun reading!
