Everyone falls in love with someone unreachable once in their lives. But for Marianna Brooke it means a lot more. All her life, she has been ignored by the world she longed to be a part of. Only the people with similar conditions to herself at middle school could see her true potential of being a professional swimmer and an inspiration to all people with disabilities.
However, although Marianna appreciates the love from her family and best friend, Fifi, her desire is to meet someone like Adam Ford. A man with the exact attributes of drawings she has done during her spare time. Now, moving on to a mainstream high school, Marianna finally finds her man, Adam Fredrickson. But will she be able to win his heart, or will he look down upon her like the rest of the world? What will become of her? ...

This story is part of a "What If" challenge that I set myself. I was inspired by the Hilary Duff film "A Cinderella Story" and it got me thinking what if other fairytales were to happen in in this modern day and age where there are no fairies and other fantasy beings?
So I chose to work on my most favourite fairytale The Little Mermaid and looked at myself as reference for the main character. I decided to do this as being a person with a disability, my life is very much like the life other the original story by Hans Christian Andersen.
Its going to be a fun challenge to imagine every scene in the story happening as logical as possible in this day and age.
Hope u enjoy reading it too!

Happy Reading!!
