There is a reason the grounds of Area 51 are kept under strict lockdown: extraterrestrial life is in fact being held and experimented on there.  But they aren't from Mars or another galaxy.  They were born right here on earth, and have lived side by side with humans for centuries.

Fantastical creatures like witches and elves and werewolves have long since fascinated humans...and frightened them.  For their own sakes, most of these immortals decided that underground life was best, and went into hiding to avoid persecution.  Centuries passed this way, until humans began to grow bold and arrogant.  The earth itself is in danger.

Kosazana is a young woman from South America who finds herself thrust into an American conflict when her friends call upon her for aid.  Pledging herself to a fight she cannot fathom but nonetheless seeks to join, she joins thousands of immortals the world over in a war not just for her own kind, but the very world they live on.

The ratio of monogamous to polygomist relationships is about 50/50. Harems and reverse harems are equally commonplace. Given the very limited animal resorces they brought with them they used science and magic to splice every animal species with Alari, Dvergr, or Giant DNA creating hybrids named the Animals, Insects, and various marine life. Later they spliced certain tree's DNA into Alfari thereby creating the Arboreals. Even in a fantasy there is oppression, racism, religious anamosity, political corruption, and corporate greed. In the Garden Realm the fantastic is everywhere, and sometimes it's hard to live but brutally easy to die. (Warning: This is an adult fantasy with graphic adult themes and scenes.
