Amara is an outcast in Buckley High School, in Santa Rosa, California she is bullied constantly by the same group of girls in high school because of an incident in freshman year. Amara lives in a group home with many children, she is the oldest kid in the house and is very loved by many, but will the girls at her school try to take that from her too?

Nina is a popular girl in Westen Prep Academy, in New York City, she has an amazing group of friends, is ranked number 1 in her classes, she has a loving, goofy mother that adores her, and a childhood friend that likes her. But she has a big secret that she's been holding onto for years, but has other problems to face.

This story is about two girls in different worlds that are trying to overcome their difficulties in their own way, Amara is an outcast in her school that is trying to survive to have a bright future but with challenges it becomes harder for her both mentally and physically. One day she wakes up in the hospital with no memory of her life until a woman came up to her and called her Nina and Amara is welcomed into a world where she has never been in and is welcomed with love, support, and friendship. But with her frustration with not having any memories of her past life she tries so hard to remember that she starts to get bits and pieces of her old life and she realizes that she is living in another persons life, but why is it that everyone thought she was Nina.
