"There is only one bad thing that has happened to me, and it hasn't happened yet." Freddie is a history major who has always been fascinated by how one change can spiral out of control and change everything. Unfortunately, he is also a history major who writes exams. If Freddie hadn't, perhaps Baker would not have lept off their balcony and fallen to his death. If Freddie hadn't, perhaps he would have learned why Baker wanted to end his life. They didn't talk about things like that while Baker was alive. When Freddie receives a letter under his door, offering the chance to go back one week and save Baker's life, in exchange for his soul, he accepts. And he's got three tries to get it right, not that needs them. All he needs is one last attempt.
