After disaster struck Starling City, Nicole returns to her home town after years of being missing. Everyone in her family is relieved to have her back, and all seems normal. But like most things and people, she has a secret of her own.
Driven with a mission and purpose to save lives BEFORE the crime occurs, Nicole carries her own secret agenda in order to bring criminals to justice. With tech-wizz genius Harold Finch in New York helping her out, and the Machine, which spies on everything giving her phone calls to alert her of every new potential victim or villain...things actually go smoothly for a while.
That is until the machine gives her a social security number of a man she wants to avoid at all costs: Oliver Queen.
