"Dear Adrian, 

      Today, I stood in the rain and thought about the way that time moves. I thought about my mother. I thought about the fact that, objectively, three months is not a long time for someone to be gone. 
	
      Sometimes, I look back at this however-many-days that it's been and think "wow, this has felt like years." And other times, I wonder where the minutes and weeks and hours and months have gone. Some days are harder than others, because on some days I get stuck in my head and wonder if I'll ever get out. Today has been one of those days so far, but its only 11:30am."

I gave the best of myself to someone who didn't have anything to lose. I didn't know how to avoid my lover's toxic and abusive flames.
