In this world, there are three classes. The Magi, who each have their own special power. The Ravens, who are given a small amount of power on their high school graduation to aid the Magi. And The Powerless, who are of course people born without and not given any power. Hierarchy is something a lot of people care about in this world, with the Magi on top, and powerless on the bottom. Schools are dedicated to each class, however WIllow Creek High School is a special school where they all can learn together.
Amara White is a Raven, she and her best friend Luna, who is also a Raven, have a opportunity to go to Willow Creek and practice with the Magi and Powerless. However, secrets are revealed as they make friends and find the answer to a string of kidnappings at the school.
