Esther "Kicks" Kelly is younger sister of Jack Kelly, head of the newsies. He took her in as his sister after they escaped the clutches of Snyder. 

When she hears about her brother organizing a strike, she believes this is her chance to rise, being one of the only girl newsies working for The World. The strike is going well until Synder crashes the party. Not to mention the fact she kept a very juicy secret from Jack. But when she ends up back at the Refuge, she begins to lose hope. Can she escape in time for the height of the strike? If not, will Jack prevail without her? Read and watch what happens!
