Poppy Summers is a mega pop star, living the dream in Los Angeles. However, due to the craziness of the paparazzi and the big career moves placed in front of her, she does wish she could take a break from being famous and just be herself. When she meets Branch Hawthorne, a down-to-earth young man from Kansas, she finally gets her chance of a taste of being normal. 

As much as she kinda likes it, the sarcastic Branch wants nothing to do with her. But as their odd shenanigans to avoid being seen by paparazzi cameras draw them closer, they learn of following your heart and truly using your voice to make yourself truly heard. What will Poppy choose? Fame and fortune, or the freedom to choose to live her life and love the one person who sees her as a normal woman?
