Random people around the world suddenly gained memories of a distant past -- but such those memories are the memories of their past lives! Each portals leads to different universes; and they were aptly called as "Bridgeways". Those bridgeways would disappear anytime. And since the portals is connected to the other universes, multiuniversal war is inevitable. Empires of different eras, of different timelines, different universes, they waged war each other as if it was their one and only logical reasoning to do so. Humanity's answer? The selected group of individuals who were reported to have memories of their past life, in other words: they are called "reincarnators" -- individuals who possess memories of their past incarnations and are able to utilizes abilities from their past incarnations without having their form changing back to their previous incarnations. (edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do.
