it's years after Jareth's encounter with Sarah. he is sad and lonely. suddenly, a stranger appears. he's the ruler of the elf kingdom, which is in dire need of help. the elf kingdom is being driven out of their home by a drought, and needs someplace to stay where there's food and water. Jareth agrees to let the elves stay with his goblins until the drought ends.
