Over the years, I've written many pieces of writing, and shared barely a fraction of them here. Recently, I find myself back here again, and in dire need of somewhere to write, and somewhere to share it. This is to be a collection of poems covering various states of emotion, as and when I write them. A lot has happened since I last wrote anything in general so, this is gonna be hard. I hope you all enjoy the journey I'm gonna take through writing all of this, it's gonna take a lot.

Stories from my point of view, basically what's on my mind. Sometimes it's about my own life and experiences, other times it's just what randomly pops up in my mind. Each and every poem is written by me, unless stated otherwise. The Light in the Dark (Completed) by LittleSparrow16

Cover made by the amazing @mikeyspizzadope (go check them out they're cool) It's 3 A.M., and you can't sleep. Your heart feels like it might burst out of your chest. Your ears are ringing, echoing in your brain, and everything hurts so badly. Your vision is going blurry as you try to fight back the tears, and you're wondering why you even try anymore. At one point or another, most of us have experienced the feeling of worthlessness, shame, or guilt. We feel like we're at rock bottom, and it seems like nothing will ever get any better no matter how hard we try. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that where there is dark, there is bound to be light, no matter how small that speck may be. There's always hope, no matter how far out of reach it may seem. There's always light in the dark. TW/CW: mentions of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts. "I know that even when things seem dark and at rock bottom, there's always hope. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them. There may be some uplifting poems but also raw ones filled with real emotions, things I've experienced. \\ Notes from me the poet: Some aren't all poems I guess you could say but these are my feelings and maybe some of you can relate :) feel free to comment or message me with any questions, feedback or suggestions I greatly appreciate anything!

For every person out there that was quiet, not because they chose to be so, but because they were choking in the smoke. Because their opinions were apparently not worth anything. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. For the floors we would pace while anxiety sunk its teeth into us. For the mirrors that we would break while shame echoed its laugh in our caged walls. For the hearts that would ache while loneliness was the only company. For every moment of pain and solitude in this world that feels too cruel for such young and frail minds.
