"Dev?" I called out, lifting my head from his chest.
"Yes baby?" He turned to look at me as the arm around my waist now came to caress my neck. He had this habit of making direct eye contact and without his glasses, not that it was much of a barrier in the first place, his eyes pierced into mine even more.
"It's wearing off." My words came out in a rush as I sat up and looked at him with wide eyes and a goofy smile.
He laughed and pulled me back to his chest.
" Do you think I should have one more shot?" I asked. "But it's bitter." I added as an afterthought.
